Setting Network Properties
Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Network
Network Properties:
Under Network Components install the following:
- Client for Microsoft Networks, Click Add, select Client, select Microsoft,
select Client for Microsoft Networks, click OK.
- Dial up Adapter, Add > Adapter > Microsoft > Dialup Adapter > OK.
- TCP/IP, Add > Protocol > Microsoft > TCP/IP > OK.
- Remove any other Clients, Adapters and Protocols.
- Primary Network Logon: Select Client for Microsoft Networks
- File and Print Sharing: Leave alone
Highlight Client for Microsoft Networks and hit Properties
Under Logon validation:
- Uncheck Log on to Windows NT Domain
Under Network Logon options:
Hit OK
Highlight Microsoft Dial-Up Adapter and hit Properties
- Driver: Enhanced Mode
- Bindings: Microsoft TCP/IP
- Advanced: Leave it alone
Hit OK
Highlight Microsoft TCP/IP and hit Properties
Bindings
- Client for Microsoft Networks
WINS Configuration
- Select Disable WINS Resolution.
IP Address
- Select Obtain IP Address Automatically.
DNS Configurations:
Gateway:
- Enter New Gateway: 1.0.0.1
- Hit the Add button.
Advanced
Hit OK
IDENTIFICATION TAB:
- Fill it out with whatever you like, but it MUST be filled out!
ACCESS CONTROL PAGE:
- Select Share-Level Access Control
Select OK to close the Network Popup.
You will be prompted to re-boot. Do it.
